Marion-Perry Co. Library plans a big summer reading program

The annual Summer Reading Program at the Marion-Perry County library will start June 7 this year. The program will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the library from 10:00 a.m. to noon each day through June 29.

This year’s program theme is “Oceans of Possibilities.” Exciting presentations from local community members and special guests, as well as story time, activities, songs, crafts, and snacks are planned. Watch the library’s Facebook page each week, where that week’s presenters will be announced.

To register, come by the library during operating hours, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The program is open to ages 4-12. Children 4-7 must be accompanied by an adult. For children of all ages, a parent must bring the child to the library on the first day of attendance.

The first 60 children who register by May 26 will receive a free t-shirt – children must be present to collect their free shirt.

All registered participants will be eligible to compete for a grand prize. Like and follow the Marion-Perry County Library’s Facebook page for updates on this and other exciting programs and events the library has planned for the coming months.
