St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Greensboro is hosting its annual Family and Friends Day on September 21-22. The weekend event will be held at the church, located at 1351 Horse Shoe Bend Rd. The festivities will kick off on Sat., Sept. 21, with a picnic from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
On Sun., Sept. 22, the day will begin with Sunday School at 9:30 AM, followed by the main Worship Service at 11:00 AM. The guest speaker for the service will be Rev. Dendrick Atkins, Sr., from Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Rev. Joe Lee Hamilton, Jr., the pastor of St. Mary, along with Associate Pastor Robert Washington, will also lead the congregation.
The theme for this year’s event is from Luke 15:6, which speaks to “The Joy of Reunion.”
