Local folk artist, Jessie Lavon, will be hosting a book signing at the Hale County Library on Saturday, March 5. Of Time in Places: The Story of a Sharecropper’s Daughter, is Lavon’s autobiography, recently published and promoted by Lavon at the Kentuck Art Festival. In addition to the book signing, Jessie Lavon’s original artworks will be available for purchase at the library. All proceeds from the sale of her art will be donated to the Hale County Library.
