Hale and Perry Counties are among the 10 West Alabama counties where 4-H clubs are launching a two-month collection campaign. Alabama Cooperative Extension Offices in the counties will be taking donations of unopened jars of peanut butter and jelly. The jars will then be distributed to local organizations, food banks, and distribution centers. 4-H members will bring jars to their club meetings, but encourage community members to take part in the effort by donating jars to their local extension offices. Other counties participating include: Choctaw, Dallas, Greene, Lamar, Marengo, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, and Wilcox. Donations will be accepted now through April 29, 2022.
