The fourth-grade class of Southern Academy visited the Hale County animal shelter on Monday, Dec. 26, bringing an abundance of Christmas food and supplies for the animals. During their visit, the students enjoyed spending time with the shelter’s puppies and cats.
In addition to the supplies, Avery Gonzales, Vice President of Elementary SGA, presented the shelter with monetary donations to further support its operations. The shelter staff expressed their gratitude for the generous contributions and the students’ enthusiasm, noting that the visit was a highlight for both the staff and the animals. The shelter looks forward to this annual tradition, which brings smiles and support during the holiday season.
