Pellie Oakes of Marion died December 21, 2024. A public viewing was held Friday, January 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Melvin Miller Funeral Service.
The Celebration of Life service was held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Marion Baptist Academy. Burial followed at the Oakes Family Cemetery on Highway 183 in Marion.
