Black Belt Reunion Blues Show planned for this Saturday, April 23, in Marion

The Black Belt Reunion
Blues Show and Tailgate
will be in Marion on Saturday, April 23. Although
tickets for the event have
sold out, those interested in
attending may still pay at
the gate. The location of the
event will be next to the
WJUS Radio Station’s
building. Hosted by Portia
Shepherd, the Tailgate starts
setting up at 8:00 a.m., with
the show starting at 1:00
p.m. and running until all
performances have concluded. Food vendors will
be onsite and security will
be strictly enforced. Lawn
chairs, tents, coolers, and
grills will be allowed at the
event for participants.
Among the performers
slated for the event are:
Omar Cunningham, Mac
Man Mack, P2K, LJ
Echols, Big Yayo, King
South, Travius Keandric,
and the Jay Morris Group.
DJ Trucker will be the MC
and DJ for the event.
Brief Encounter Nightclub will host a Blues Show
After Party on Saturday,
April 23. Free admission
will be for those who arrive
before 10 p.m., with admission being $10 after 10 p.m.
The After Party is in conjunction with the Black Belt
Reunion Blues Show and
Tailgate. Those with their
Blues Show armband will
receive their first drink for
free.
