Clifford Austin ‘Butch’ Hughes passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. He moved his family from Marion to Fairhope in 1988 and established Colony Motor-Cars in Daphne.
Butch was loved by all who knew him… a fine businessman with a love for golf, boating, and his family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna D. Hughes; a son, Daniel Austin; a daughter, Niki Hayden (Jordy); and two grandsons, Hudson Allen and Hughes Austin, all of Fairhope. He also leaves behind 2 sisters, Wanda Hughes Kuchel (Bill) of Dallas and Lynn Hughes Anderson of Fairhope, and loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Fairhope United Methodist Church. Visitation began at 10:00 am and the service was held at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fairhope United Methodist Church at 155 South Section Street, Fairhope, AL.
The visitation was held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Fairhope United Methodist Church. The funeral service was held on the same day at 11:00 AM at Fairhope United Methodist Church. Arrangements were handled by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes and Crematory in Fairhope.
