Robert C. Hatch High School softball team

The Robert C. Hatch High School softball team won their first softball game of the season on Thursday, March 30. In a game against Central Hayneville, the Hatch girls managed to score 21-19 by the end of the game.

“The girls played their best game yet,” said Dudley Long, a coach for the softball team and Uniontown resident. “3 up, 3 down in the 5th inning, which is great in the world of softball,” Long added.

The team celebrated with a pizza party and plenty of fun and games afterwards. With their first win in their first ever season under their belt, the team has more games ahead. The team is set to play against Central Hayneville again in an away game on April 6. A game against Calhoun High set for Tuesday, April 4, was cancelled and is set to be rescheduled.
