Local Phi Beta Sigma chapter awards scholarship

The Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Kappa Lambda Sigma Marion Chapter awards a $500 academic scholarship to a deserving Francis Marion School male graduate. The annual scholarship is awarded annually in honor of a fraternity member who was an educator at Francis Marion School.

This year honoree is Rev. Dr. Bro. Anthony Trimble. Dr. Trimble provided 36 years of educational service to FMS. He is a charter member of Mu Kappa Chapter at University of West Alabama (formerly Livingston University).

The nominee for the Rev. Dr. Bro. Anthony Trimble Scholarship Award is Jaruis Smith. Jarius received an eloquent motivational charge from Dr.Trimble, scholarship award letter and plaque. He will receive his monetary award once he provides enrollment registration from a college of his choice by Fall 2023.
