Perry County Board of Education members, including Superintendent Marcia A. Smiley, attended the 2023 Alabama Association of School Board 2023 Summer Conference in Gulf Shores, June 16 through June 18. The conference’s theme this year was “Innovate. Imagine. Ignite.”
Located at The Lodge at Gulf State Park, the conference was an opportunity for Perry County administrators to connect with others in the education field throughout the three-day conference. The conference had two bonus sessions, one of which featured former All-American University of Alabama football player, retired NFL player, and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers Defensive Assistant, Rashad Johnson.
