Perry County residents are invited to attend the Perry County Extension Office’s annual Grassroots Assessment & Strategic Planning meeting on Thursday, July 13. The meeting will be held in conjunction with Main Street Marion from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Marion Arts Center located at 314 Washington Street in downtown Marion. Registration to attend ends on Friday, July 7 at 3 PM. Those interested in attending may call 334-683-6888, or contact Katrina Easley.
The purpose of this meeting will be to provide insight on the Extension Office’s mission and the impact it has on local communities. Annually, the Extension Office develops Plans of Work based on needs identified in each community for the upcoming year. This is meant to identify additional programs needed and to gather feedback from the communities they serve to develop programs for the year 2024.
For those attending or not, the Perry County Extension Office is offering an online assessment for those same efforts. The 2023 ACES Organizational Needs Assessment can be accessed through the Perry County Extension Office’s social media and website.
