Pedestrian dies after single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 80 outside Selma

A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, has claimed the life of a Tyler man. Edward J. Hall, 50, the pedestrian, was fatally injured when he was struck by the 2011 Honda Odyssey driven by Marcus L. Martin, 39, of Selma. Hall was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on U.S. 80 near the 89 mile marker, approximately five miles east of Selma, in Dallas County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
