Clark recognized for Black History Month

James Clark

James Clark, officer of the Black Belt Small Ruminant Association, was recently highlighted by the Small Farms Research Center of Alabama A & M University on February 22, 2024. In honor of Black History Month, Clark was noted as a community leader and committed member of the Small Ruminant Association since its inception.

Based in Hale County, Clark has become a fixture for agriculturists and farmers across the Hale County region. Organizing farmers and events, Clark is also a father and a veteran. In a post on their social media, the Small Farms Research Center said, “He’s a man of few words but gets the job,” adding, “He loves his fellow farmers and does everything with precision and order.”

In concluding their post of appreciation, the Small Farms Research Center expressed their gratitude to Clark, writing “Mr. Clark, thank you for your extended service to the Hale County community,” adding, “Thank you for serving our country, the local Hale County community and AAMU Small Farms Research Center.”
