Jimmy Lee Parker, Jr.

Jimmy Lee Parker Jr., affectionately known as JP, was born on November 11, 1977, to Jimmy Parker Sr. and the late Mary Parker. He departed this life on February 9, 2024, at his home in Florida. Remembered as an amazing man who was deeply committed to his family, he gave much love and was loved by many.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Steve Peggins and Shaleem Peggins. He leaves behind his loving wife Alisia Parker, his children Jimmothy Parker, Jr., Jada Rhodes, Jamel Parker, Angel Rhodes, Rashada M. Parker, and his father Jimmy (Angela) Parker, Sr. JP’s memory will also be treasured by his grandchild Delila Parker, his sister Pamela Bryant, brothers Chris and Richard Peggins, uncles, Charlie (Ann) Peggins, Monroe (Clara) Begins, William (Teresa) Parker, Eddie (Rachel) Parker, Kenneth (Joann) Parker, and aunts Martha Foster, Shirley (Hezekiah) Young, Rebecca (Lonzeil) Norwood, Roberta (Willie) Powell, Claudiette Jeffries. He is also mourned by his niece Shemeka Peggins, as well as other relatives and friends.

Jimmy’s life was celebrated in a service held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny L. Anderson as pastor and Rev. James Frank Jr. officiating. The service was supported by Pine Grove Baptist Church.
