MMI band to perform at Opera House Friday

MMI band

The Marion Military Institute Band will perform at the Greensboro Opera House on Friday, March 15 starting at 7:00. The band is made up of approximately 30 cadets from all parts of Alabama, the United States, and even a few from U.S. territories. The MMI band plays patriotic music, older popular songs that feature brass (1970s), and occasional seas shanty. The band is in much demand and has marched in parades in various cities, in Mardi Gras celebrations, state inaugurations, and many Christmas events. The band commander is William Pearson from Texas, and the band director is Michael Gimenez from Huntsville Alabama.

The Greensboro Opera House is thrilled to have the opportunity to invite everyone to this performance by the Marion Military Institute Band!

Upcoming events at the Opera House in the spring will feature a concert by the Shelton State Community Choir on Friday, April 19; a violin and vocal concert by Jumana Kamal on Sunday, May 19; and a performance— vocal, trumpet, and guitar— by Dylan Colburn on Friday, June 29.
