UPD arrests man for attempted murder

Uniontown Police Department has arrested one man on charges of attempted murder, reckless endangerment, and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

Court records indicate that Keevontez Delon Shepherd, 29, of Uniontown, was arrested Wednesday, April 3 on the charges. According to court filings, Shepherd remains in Perry County Jail, where his bond has been set at $60,000.00.

The criminal complaint against Shepherd, which was filed in Perry County District Criminal Court on April 8, accuses him of “continuously punching and beating” a male victim “until he fell to the ground, and then continued to punch and kick his head and face.” The complaint says the incident described occurred on April 1.
