A Montgomery woman is charged with a felony after authorities say she threatened to kill a Perry County woman who had cooperated with law enforcement in another case.
According to Perry County District Court records, Jamesha Monique Moss, 33, of Montgomery, is charged with first-degree making a terrorist threat in connection with an incident reported on February 9.
The case was filed February 13, and Moss was arrested on February 11. Her bond is set at $15,000, and court records list her status as being held in the county jail.
A criminal complaint signed by Uniontown Police Chief Michael Kiser alleges that on or about February 9, Moss made a first-degree terrorist threat by credibly threatening to commit a crime of violence with a firearm against a Perry County resident. The complaint says the alleged threat was made in retaliation for the person having provided information to law enforcement about an ongoing criminal case involving Moss.
First-degree making a terrorist threat is charged under Section 13A-10-241 of the Alabama Code and is classified as a Class C felony, according to the case file.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11 at 10 a.m. in Perry County District Court.
