Phillip N. White

Phillip N. White, 68, of Moundville, passed away on April 4, 2026, at DCH Regional Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life service was held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Moundville Baptist Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Magnolia Chapel South was in charge of arrangements.

Phillip was preceded in death by his son, Matt White; his mother, Howellene Plant; and his father, Hollie White.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn White; daughters, Chelsea Martin (Jason) and Katy Watkins (Joseph); sons, Gid White, Lee Sneller (Kelly), and Martin Payne (Breanna); brothers, Steve White (Ramona) and Marshall White (Susan); and grandchildren, Lyla Watkins, Luke Watkins, Lucy Watkins, Ophelia Martin, Riven Sneller, Remi Sneller, and Clyde Martin.

Phillip was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a cherished “Pop.” He dedicated 26 years of his professional life as a Network Manager for the Culverhouse School of Business at the University of Alabama, where he was respected for his knowledge, reliability, and willingness to help others.

A man of deep faith, Phillip faithfully served his church in many capacities over the years. His servant’s heart extended far beyond the church walls—he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and made a lasting impact on his community through his kindness and generosity. He also served as a director of the Upward ministry for the past three years.

Phillip had a passion for history and was an enthusiastic fan of University of Alabama football, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on his team. He enjoyed working with his hands and found joy in building and fixing things.

Above all, Phillip will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his strong faith, and his giving spirit. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His family encourages others to live and love as he did.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Moundville Baptist Church Greater Things Together Building Fund.
