Sandra Darlene Stone Burnette (“MaMa”), age 61, of Centreville, Alabama, entered into her heavenly home on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Sandra was born on May 22, 1965, in Marion, Alabama.
Sandra was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and great-aunt. She is survived by her loving mother, Dorothy Mae Nichols Stone; her loving husband of 41 years, David Burnette; her daughter, Amanda Leigh Burnette Mayton (Jimmy); her son, Patrick David Burnette; her sister, Rhonda Stone Gibson; her niece, Jodie Lynn McCool (Josh); her nephew, Brody Gibson; her great-nephew, Levi McCool; and her great-niece, Sadie McCool.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Velma Stone and M.D. and Oda Mae Nichols; her father, Jody Stone; her brother, Ricky Joe Stone; and her grandson, Jordan Sawyer Burnette.
Sandra loved the Lord, playing games with her family, traveling, eating seafood, loving on the school children and staff at BES, where she served as a Child Nutritionist Personnel for more than 22 years, and spending time simply being with family and friends. She was loved by her family, friends, and everyone she came into contact with and will be greatly missed.
A visitation for Sandra was held on Friday, June 26, at Schultz Creek Baptist Church, with a graveside service following at Schultz Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Schultz Spring Road, West Blocton, Alabama, officiated by Reverend Allen Foster.
