Marion Military Institute will hold a College Preview Day for high school students and their families on Friday, Sept. 18, beginning at 8 a.m. on the campus at 1101 Washington Street in Marion. A second preview day is set for Saturday, Nov. 7.
The morning opens with registration and a chance to meet the Corps of Cadets and campus organizations, followed by the president’s welcome and an overview of programs, financial aid, VA benefits and cost in the chapel, a campus tour and program breakout sessions. Lunch is provided in the dining hall, with a pass in review on the quad at noon.
The afternoon brings a briefing for parents with the commandant’s office, a professors’ brief and a cadet question-and-answer session, and the day ends at 1:30 p.m. with admissions staff available and the bookstore open.
