Sylvester “Rick” Faddis, 65, died September 17. He was born November 9, 1960, to the late James and Josephine Faddis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Willie James Faddis, Woodrow Faddis and Leo Faddis.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Faddis-Hicks (Kendrick); two grandchildren, Shemaya Faddis and Nicholis Pelt Jr.; two brothers, Nelson Faddis (Isabelle) of Uniontown and Tyrone Faddis (Deborah) of Greensboro; three uncles, Charlie Green (Joyce), Arthur Green (Marva Lean) and Melvin Green (Deborah); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and coworkers.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 3, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 296 Beech Street, Newbern, with the Rev. Dr. Bryan O. McCullough officiating.
Washington & Paige Mortuary of Greensboro directed.
