Thelma Cole Watkins, 81 went to her eternal home on November 6, 2022. She was born in Sawyerville, AL on January 9, 1941 to Marie Crocker Cole and Talmage Cole. She was a packer at Plastics as well as a loving wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie Lee Watkins; her daughter, Marie Watkins; her sisters: Wilhelmine Massey, Carrie Roberts, and Daisy Bee Hoots; and her brothers: Clarence and Frank Cole. She is survived by her daughters: Brenda Cook (Johnny), Pam Clements (Jay), and RIta Harper (Jeff); her son, Robin Massey (Becky); her sisters: Dorothy Clements, Virginia Hall, Becky Holley, and Christine Roberts; and by her brothers: Ralph Cole, Henry Cole and JC Cole. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Kirk Funeral Homes Chapel in Greensboro, AL on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 pm at Oakwood Cemetery in Greensboro with Rev. Arthur Thomas officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Greensboro Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will be: Joey Harper, Jason Horton, Jamey Clements, Kevin Johnson, Jon Massey, and Tim Minchew. Honorary pallbearers are: the staff of Comfort Care.
