On Sept. 28, the Running Rams competed at the Paul Bryant Invitational hosted at Munny Sokol Park in Tuscaloosa, AL. The Rams ran in the junior varsity division that had a total of 31 runners competing. After starting at wide receiver and special teams for the homecoming game the night prior, Jadarius Carlisle still managed to beat his own personal best by one minute with a time of 19:08 that earned him 2nd place out of the 31 athletes. This time also broke the Francis Marion school record by almost 30 seconds. Jamarian Essex had a stellar performance as well. He broke his own personal record by over 20 seconds with a time of 19:47 and a 5th place finish. Qui’Darius Jackson did well in his first ever 5K and looks forward to improving his time over the next two races before the season comes to an end. The Rams will compete again on October 12th in Billingsley.
