The Marion Cemetery Association Board will place United States flags in the Marion Cemetery on Saturday, May 23, at 9:30 a.m. In the event of rain, the alternate times will be 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, or 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 24.
The flags have once again been donated by a loyal family.
Volunteers are encouraged to arrive on time and are welcome to place a flag on their loved one’s grave to honor their service. Memorial Day is set aside to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms, but the association chooses to honor all who have served with a U.S. flag.
Donations to help maintain the cemetery are gratefully accepted and may be mailed to Marion Cemetery Association, Inc., 1806 Oak Crest Drive, Marion, Alabama 36756-3308.
