Sanders, Stewart will run off for State Sen. District 23 nomination June 21

A primary runoff election is scheduled for the state of Alabama on June 21. Several elections from the May 24 primary will be decided in the runoff, including races in the Black Belt or including Black Belt candidates.

For the Democratic nomination for Governor, Yolanda Flowers will face off against Malika Sanders-Fortier of Selma.

For the Republican nomination for Secretary of State, Jim Zeigler will face Wes Allen.

For the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate, the race will be between Katie Britt and Mo Brooks.
For Alabama Public Service Commission, place 1, Jeremy Odeon and Brent Woodall will vie for the Republican nomination.

For Public Service Commission, place 2, the race will be between Chip Beeker of Greene County and Robert McCollum.

In the Black Belt, State Sen. District 23, which includes Butler, Clarke, Conecuh, Dallas, Lowndes, Monroe, Perry, and Wilcox Counties, will see Hank Sanders of Selma, who has held the Sen. Dist. 23 seat before, face off against Robert Stewart, also of Selma.
