Peggy Joyce Hall Hoggle

Peggy Joyce Hall Hoggle of Livingston, Alabama, passed into her Savior’s arms at the age of 87 years and 11 months on September 3, 2023. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville at 2:30 pm with Rev. Charles Spence officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Indian Mounds Baptist Church from 12:30 to 2:00pm.

She was incredibly strong and depended on her faith and prayer to sustain her throughout her life. She was fiercely independent, proud, and generous. She could be infuriatingly stubborn and blunt but always spoke and acted in love with the best intentions. Her children have been guided throughout our lives by her example and love. They will miss the, “Well, I love,love,love you!” that accompanied the end of every call and visit.

She is survived by her children, Darrell Hoggle (Kim), Ricky Hoggle (Diane), Gail Hoggle Beard (Walt), Paula Hoggle Cook (Kenneth), and Nina Hoggle White (Lewis); grandchildren; Jennifer Harwell (Bryan), Joseph Hoggle (Audrey), Selena Folsom (Ken), Danielle Williams (Drake), Beau Beard, Robert Beard (fiance Caroline Carden), Corey Beard, Rose Cook Patrick (Brandon), and Tina Cook; great grandchildren; Katie Harwell, Brooke Harwell, Hayden Harwell, Thomas Harwell, Eli Hoggle, Jake Parks, Reilly Pickett, Slade Williams, Evan Patrick, Des Patrick, Ruby Patrick, and Finn Patrick, and an expected great grandchild Atlas Williams, siblings; Peter Hall and Faye Hall Riley and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of fortyfour years, Paul D. Hoggle, brother; George Hall and one child that she will be seeing for the first time.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Hoggle, Beau Beard, Robert Beard, Corey Beard, Max Wade Adams, Tim Harris, and Mark Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandsons; Hayden Harwell, Thomas Harwell, Jake Parks, Des Patrick, Evan Patrick, Finn Patrick, Slade Williams and Eli Hoggle.
