At Hale County Hospital, it is part of our mission to focus on relationship and community-centered healthcare complemented by programming, activities, and community partnerships that support improved health and quality of life of our neighbors. We strive to provide “top care right here” in Hale County for our residents here and in surrounding counties so patients no longer have to travel long distances to receive quality health care. Whether you or your family needs care from our award winning outpatient clinics (with locations in Greensboro and Moundville), our inpatient and outpatient physical therapy and rehab teams, our 5 star rated home health team, our emergency room, laboratory, and radiology departments, or in our beautifully remodeled hospital East Wing that provides inpatient care, 21 day rehab, and hospice care, Hale County Hospital is your hometown center for healthcare excellence in West Alabama.

November is National Home Care & Hospice Month, and we are so thankful for Hale County Hospital – Home Health. Based in Greensboro, Hale County Hospital – Home Health provides care to home-bound individuals in Hale, Greene, Perry, and Marengo counties. Home health’s goals is to promote and facilitate a healthier quality of life for patients and their families, right in the comfort and familiarity of your own home. This program can support those who have difficulties with mobility, to help those who adjust to life back at home after a recent inpatient stay in the hospital, or who need more regular care. Some of the service home health provides include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medication monitoring, wound care, diabetic teaching, and IV therapy.

Hospice is a form of health care that focuses on providing comfort and quality healthcare for individuals who are terminally ill or who are approaching the end of life. Hospice care is typically delivered by a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers, who collaborate to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient while working to reduce pain. They will also assist the patient with medications, daily routines, and other assistance and support they may need. This compassionate approach aims to help individuals live as fully and comfortably as possible in the final stages of life.
