Greensboro downtown Christmas celebration, parade, more Dec. 8-9

The Greensboro Christmas Parade Committee is thrilled to announce the 2023 Annual Greensboro Christmas Celebration, themed “A Hometown Christmas.” This festive event will commence on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 6 p.m., featuring a variety of holiday activities to kick off the season.

The celebration will begin with a Christmas Choir Concert, followed by performances from praise dancers. A highlight of the evening will be the Tree Lighting ceremony, followed by a fireworks display. There will be complimentary hotdogs, soups, chili, chips, candy, and beverages.

Continuing the holiday cheer, the much-anticipated Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. The committee extends a warm invitation to vendors interested in participating in the parade. Those wishing to join can obtain an entry form from any parade committee member.

The committee is arranging transportation and food for the visiting marching bands that have been invited to participate in the parade. To support these efforts, the committee is seeking donations to help cover these costs. Contributions can be made via check or money order, payable to the Greensboro Christmas Parade Committee, and sent to 1101 Main Street, Greensboro, AL 36744.

For additional information regarding the celebration, interested parties are encouraged to contact Annetta Constant at 334-507-1076 or Ken Lewis at 205-764-3198.
