Rural Energy for America Program on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency was hosted at the Marion Art Center

The Rural Energy for America Program on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency was hosted at the Marion Art Center on Tuesday, January 30. The program was presented by Sam Green, President of Blue Phoenix Consulting in partnership with: Katrina Easley with Perry County Alabama Extension Office and Main Street Marion; Commissioner Cedric Hudson; C.H.O.I.C.E.; and Portia Shepherd with Black Belt Women Rising.

The program guarantees loan financing and grant funding to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to fund renewable energy systems or improvements in energy efficiency. Agricultural producers may apply for new system loans and energy efficient equipment used for agricultural production and processing.
