Perry Co. Historical Society’s annual Low Country Boil set for Saturday, March 26

The Perry County Historical Society’s popular annual fundraiser, the Low Country Boil, will be held March 29 of this year in Marion.
The event will happen from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Marion Female Seminary on Monroe Street. Tickets for adults are $20 apiece, students are $15, and children ages 5 and under will be admitted free. The menu includes a classic low country boil with shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes, as well as a side of slaw and a selection of homemade desserts. Take-out orders are also available.
This year’s entertainment will be live music provided by Sheila Ferrell, Diane Atchison, Jerry Ross, and Doc Averette.
