Rep. Terri Sewell will hold town hall today in Greensboro

U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell

U.S. Representative Terri Sewell, whose Seventh Congressional District includes all of the western Black Belt, will have a town hall meeting in Greensboro today, Thursday, March 24. The Congresswoman’s office announced the event via email Thursday morning.

The meeting will begin at 1:45 with a 15 minute press availability beforehand. It will be held at the Hale County College and Career Center on Highway 69 north of Greensboro.

Each year, Sewell hosts a series of town hall meetings in each of the 14 counties that make up her district to give constituents an opportunity to share their views and concerns and hear updates on the latest in Congress.

Sewell will update constituents on American Rescue Plan spending, the federal funding coming to Alabama from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, voting rights, the situation in Ukraine, and Congress’ ongoing efforts to battle COVID-19. Constituents will have the opportunity to get their questions answered directly by the Congresswoman.

Constituents are welcome to attend. Masks are strongly encouraged.
